Velocity offers riders one route with four distinct distances to choose from: 62.5, 45, 25, or 10 miles.

Our route begins 62.5 miles outside of New York City where our Silver riders start their journey. As the route progresses, riders from each distance will merge into the route, gaining momentum to become one unstoppable force crossing the finish line together at Columbia and the end of cancer.

All routes are safe, well marked, and fully supported with SAG vehicles and rest areas complete with food, drink, bike tech, and medical services.

Check out the route overview here.

Your distance options, registration, and fundraising commitments are as follows. Riding with friends? No need to all choose the same route; we merge together and become one!

Can't make it to the ride? Not into cycling? You can still play an important role in solving cancer at Columbia University Medical Center. Our Virtual Rider experience is unlike any other - in addition to a personal fundraising page, with a small self-donation you'll have access to a web stream of our opening ceremonies, and exclusive interviews with riders, volunteers, and cancer survivors at the event. Virtual Riders will also be eligible for special fundraising prizes throughout the season. You'll feel like you're a part of Velocity - because you are!

Velocity will begin 62.5 miles outside of New York City near Harriman State Park (home of Bear Mountain). Our Start Area locations will be announced soon! To get a sense of how the event comes to life, you can review our 2017 route here.
